A group of Year 6 boys were selected to represent the school in a football tournament where they competed against schools all across Tower Hamlets. The event was organised by Leyton Orient. The children were:
Terrell, Oskar, Imad, Abubakar, Abrar, Yanis and Dean.
A recount from Vera:
"I am very proud of the kids today. We started the tournament by losing three games out of four. Then we had the kicks off. They won all of them despite the pressure to be eliminated on the first turn.
We reached the final and won a trophy and medals. The boys showed everyone determination, perseverance and respect. They have been acclaimed for the best behaviour, demonstrating fair play, great team work and encouraging to others even when they lost against a team. Harbinger was well represented Today and made us all smile, from the referees, teachers to the organisation of the tournament.
Let's all celebrate their achievement, in representing the school by having the right attitude and image during this tournament."
Well done Team Harbinger!
