Special Guest Leading KS2 Assemblies - Ishaq Ameen

On Tuesday 17th January, we had one of our ex pupils visit all of our KS2 classes to lead an assembly.

Ishaq is a very talented football player and is currently playing at Semi Pro level for Barking. Ishaq has won many awards, medals, trophies and has played in countries all over Europe.

Ishaq visited our children to talk about how he went from being a talented keen footballer at Harbinger to now playing at Semi Pro level (this means just below premiership teams such as Liverpool, Manchester United etc).

He spoke to our children about having a growth mindset (believing in himself / trying his best), listening to school staff, showing respect to all adults and children in his life and following a very strict healthy lifestyle.

Truly truly inspiring and his journey began with us at Harbinger.

Ishaq brought a long medals, trophies and newspaper articles of himself to share and our children listened carefully and asked thoughtful questions. Ishaq is currently at college, playing for a Semi Pro team, a youth worker and a Carer for adults with SEND.
